So our first week across the pond was the equivalent of British Airways losing our luggage on a Euro getaway. We had some guys in the hunt but they all faded on the weekend. The Gotterup win was even more frustrating as we tipped him a week earlier but that’s life. We’re still up for the year and looking to make some money on 2025’s final major. It’s Open Championship week at Royal Portrush—home to nasty winds, elevation shifts, and greens that could lead to Tyrell Hatton putting with a PW. Here’s your can’t-miss picks (unless they miss):
Banroll $811 / Up $311
Shane Lowry (+170) over Jon Rahm ($10 to win $17)
Lowry practically owns Portrush (won here by 6 in ’19). Rahm might have the odds, but Shane’s got the Guinness-fueled history. We still think something’s going on with Rahm who hasn’t won a LIV event this year.
Nico Echavarria – Top South American ($10 to win $27)
He’s streakier than a muni bathroom stall, but Nico’s early-round major form beats Niemann who we still can’t trust in a major and Vegas who’s crazy showing at the PGA was about his only good golf of the season. Value’s tasty here.
Top Senior: Paddy Harrington ($10 to win $24)
Fresh off another Senior major win—Paddy’s beating up old guys regularly. Phil and Westy are limping in from LIV.
Cameron Young – Top 10 ($10 to win $60)
Lurking quietly at +600, Young’s putter (11th in SG) can carry him to a top 10 even though he never contends to win.
Viktor Hovland (Kalshi Price – $10 to win $234)
Pure vibes play—good links record, not great putter, but his ball striking screams multiple major winning and we’re banking on him doing it sooner rather than later.
Harry Hall ($10 to win $1100)
Absolute long-shot deep cut—but he’s 3rd in SG putting and his form has been incredible. Toss some couch-cushion change at him and thank me later.
