British Open 2018: Here's what CPG will wear as he watches the Open Championship (and where to buy each piece)

July 17, 2018

Take a hint from CPG's fresh looks for Carnoustie on how to stay stylish this fall.

Round 1:  I always like to get tournaments started off strong by not only playing good but looking good as well.  You can't make the cut on Thursday, but you can sure miss it.  So I like to go with something familiar and comfortable. In this case I'm going with a circa 1996 Tobasco/Chiliwear button up, George™ brand triple pleated pants, white belt, FootJoy Pro Series sandals, white athletic socks and a RAM Tour hat. Style and functionality intersect as I attempt to put myself on 79 watch in the opening round.

Round 2: On Friday, as the pace of play slows to a crawl, I'll go with the same outfit as yesterday save two key changes.  Most notably, sock color from white to black which gives the Footjoy sandals the 'intimidation factor' they deserve on cut-line day, as well as the proprietary CPG "Crucifixion" hat in white, which let's everyone in the field know that they need to keep things moving.
