1. Review of previous minutes
Mr. Kennedy opened the meeting by giving an update on the swimming pool, which had previously been deemed hazardous by county health officials. The pool is closed indefinitely with no current plans to reopen next spring. Mr. Kennedy has put together an exploratory committee to probe repurposing efforts. Mr. Bevins suggested the area be turned into a course marshal training academy/recruitment center. His suggestion was noted.

2. Member-Guest Updates
CPG thanked everyone for attending last Sunday's "Whiteboard Session" where all club employees gathered to brainstorm on ways to improve this years member/guest. CPG said despite some excellent ideas, none of them would be implemented due to the fact that any deviation whatsoever from past member/guests would result in more work for him and his staff.
CPG noted that the sponsorship funds from Tom Billington Kia have provided the club flexibility in regards to the goody bags that will serve as tee gifts. The mini flashlight, as well as the matchbook of tees have already arrived and are ready for insertion into the bag. Mr. Barnes announced he has procured 2 cases of mini 'Slim-Jim's' from Sam's Club which will round out the contents of the goody bag. Each goody bag will be placed on the seat of the golf cart prior to the participant's arrival. Adding what we hope will be viewed as a personal touch.
Also, CPG announced that 4 ladies from the Steering Committee of our Ladies member/member event (the MILF Masters) have volunteered to monitor our closest to the pin competitions. This year's closest to the pin prizes are as follows:
#2 - $10 in "Cutter Bucks" to apply to a Cutter & Buck 'Concept Shop'.
#6 - Free test drive of a Kia Soul Hatchback courtesy of Tom Billington Kia.
#12 - Complimentary 2 day 3 night stay at Harrah's El Paso. (airfare not included)
#16 - 2 University of Kansas Football tickets plus parking pass.

3. Course Marshal Updates
Mr. Bevins gave a detailed report on the sheepdog training seminar he attended in San Marcos, Texas last week. He said the expense was well worth it to the club and he plans on attending their “Winter’s Justice” retreat in December. Mr. Bevins then educated staff members on the new self-defense techniques he learned in Texas, as well as identifying go-to pressure points on the human body. He then demonstrated what he called a "brachial plexus death grip" technique on Mr. Vega, quickly subduing him to the ground and rendering him motionless. No one was injured in the demonstration.

5. Closing remarks
The Chairperson asked everyone to batten down the hatches as the summer season comes to a close, urging staff to promote the club’s upcoming autumn seasonal promotions and significantly reduced green fees. He also noted that the annual “Fall Ball Brawl” junior college tournament has been canceled because it's the same day Miguel is scheduled to gas the greens.
